Howdy everyone!
Hope you all are doing well in this beautiful day! I am also doing well and like every other day, I am back with another interesting topic! I have read a lot of articles on the internet about which aquarium to visit in USA. There are tons of article out there and most of them describes the same as the Monterey Bay, Shedd or the Georgia Aquarium.
But I thought why not to make a unique article out of it so that you along with your family can get an unique experience!
So I searched down the internet about aquariums which are based on the aesthetics and beauty and which are mostly well rated by the visitors by the label of beauty. Have to done a lot of research about it and I came down to my top 5 favorites in the segment!
Remember they are obviously my choice but what adds in there is that they are mostly chosen by the visitors as they serve little bit different taste from the regular.
So here we start
Belle Isle Aquarium, Detroit, Michigan
Bella Isle Aquarium was first founded in 1904 in Detroit and now it is called the oldest aquarium situated in the city. The Bella Isle Aquarium is founded over an island which is an fascinating factor and the structure remains the same as it was from the beginning.
The owner had a view of making the visitors feel like they are inside the aquarium. The structure has a upper tiles coloration of light green which sort of gives you a feeling of aquatic life.
Mostly this aquarium is famous for it’s air breathing fish segment as it has a lot of it. Also called the America’s oldest Original aquarium which represents the historical start of the large aquarium. There are over 200 species of fish there which are displayed and it is one of the largest aquarium that has ocean water directly coming into it.
A big saltwater facility right?
There has been a lot of renovation in this facilities as obvious why not as it’s a really old facility.
They believe in the importance of the water and maintaining marine life. You can watch freshwater tiger stingray, reef fish , electric Eels and so much more there!
Butterfly House and Aquarium, Sioux falls, South Dakota
The Butterfly house and Aquarium situated in, Sioux Falls, South Dakota is unique because it has both the combination of Butterfly and marine fishes. It is said that we humans love the touch of nature and our heart beat falls and we feel relaxed when we go near nature. This facility has tons of aquatic fish inside it and the butterfly sector has over 1000 colorful butterfly in it. You might ask how the butterflies are added there, well when they transform themselves from caterpillar to chrysalis which is usually the stage in between Caterpillar and Butterflies, they are mostly brought there and most of them are displayed towards the public.
For the aquarium there is a display tube, see and touch pools and so many reef aquariums which has live corals and fishes. There is a segment for moon jelly fish where your kids can learn a lot from them.
Basically this facility will help your loving child to be a nature lover and it will be a great experience for your child I must say.
Birch Aquarium, La Jolla, California
This is one of my personal favorite aquarium to visit as it got some new editions to its aquarium world. They got some cute blue penguins which is really adorable I think. There is a tide pool which has sea urchins , sea cucumbers inside which is often encouraged to touch.
There are also jeey fish aquarium, the stingray and shark aquarium and there is a research center where you can see the research going on the California university.
There are sections of aquariums where you can find the indo-pacific, the tropical , the mangrove and so much aquarium which can be really educational which I think.
Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, Washington
This aquarium is filled with wild life and natural beauty. Evergreen forests that covering it. This aquarium is considered the fourth most beautiful aquarium in America.
It features species from specific oceans such as the hammer head shark or the giant octopus.
This aquarium will offer you with an amazing underwater show where you can eventually experience the homes to sea turtles, sharks and stingrays.
Why I personally love this aquarium is because this aquarium shows us the dangers facing our seas and how to keep the sea safe for the fishes.
Interesting isn’t it?
Seacoast Science Center, RYE, New Hampshire
This aquarium showcases fishes from the main field and from other areas. Tropical reef habitat is nicely shown here.
Fun fact is that there is a whale exhibit that has whales skeletons hanging. Think about how amazing is that?
People are made concern here about the future of the ocean which can have a great impact over the next generation as they hold a lot in there hands.
There are so many rescued animals found in that center and they offer the World Ocean Day celebration.
Okay this has been my top 5 picks according to the review. I believe you along with your little one will be highly benefited from this aquarium if you visit so.
