A lot of you will be happy todays as I am going to talk about a fish which you guys have send me pictures of it in my inbox and asked me to describe this fish.

Well personally I tried a lot to get hands on

that fish so that I can tell and explore more about it and can give you guys a premium experience like I always try to give so but this time , the fish is so rare and hard to get, after waiting for months , I couldn’t got my hands on that fish.

But don’t worry there is nothing to get sad about. I couldn’t get hands on that particular fish so what?

I have searched over internet about this fish. Watched videos and gathered a lot of data about this fish!

I know this would have been the best if I had owned this fish personally but this time I will try to provide you with the best information I collected from the internet.

And there are so many people owning this fish on the internet so I have pointed out a lot of the factor about this fish!

So let’s not waste any bit of time and let’s just straight dive into the topic and

let’s welcome our todays guest, the one and only Longhorn Cowfish!

Those of you who don’t know what is a longhorn cowfish, must have been thinking now that what can be a cowfish?

Is it a cow version of any fish which has similarities with the regular cow?

Well it’s not like that!

They are slightly similar to regular cow’s in some ways but they are not as same as the regular cows!

Longhorn cowfish is a saltwater fish which lives deep down the ocean near about 160 feet deep which is mostly found in the indo pacific regions! It’s a saltwater fish which has two horns in the head and two horns bellow the body part.

Because of it’s two horns over it’s head, it is mostly compared with a cow as cow’s have two horns also.

And If I am not wrong , this fish got their name from this situation.

But only having horns doesn’t make this fish properly similar to cows. This fish has some unique features.

Basically this fishes are found in yellowish or olive greenish coloration

with having spots over their body.  The two horns they have over their head are typically used as their defense mechanism. When a predator tries to eat them, this horns prevents them from getting eaten.

But this is not all about their defense mechanism!

This fishes have poisonous body which can release toxins from it’s body which can eventually help it to get away from it’s predator.

Another interesting factor about this fish is

they don’t have skeletons! A fish without a skeleton! Interesting right?

So what does they have? Well this fishes have strong shell alike body which eventually helps them by working as a skeleton and often helps to get rid of predators.

Longhorn Cowfish have two individual eyes which means that this fish can rotate their eyes in different positions at a same time. As they can rotate their eyes at a same time in two different directions, they can easily escape from their predators attack or it can help them to be the predator!

Speaking about predators, this longhorn cowfish usually eats small vertebrates or algae from the water.

It can blow water from it’s mouth which can often help them finding their prey from the sand.

Usually they eat small worms or insects from the sand.

And yes I forgot to mention about their lowerparts horn. Those two horns usually works as same as the heads horn as they help them to defend their body from the predators.

Beautiful factor about tail is that it usually looks like a long lizard alike tail but I can assure you that they are not like that. Their tail can spread and often looks gorgeous while they are spread properly!

This unique fish can grow up-to 18 inch’s long and can live upto seven to ten years.

And if you know about Boxfish or our regular Pufferfish, this longhorn cowfish belongs from the same family!

Really a unique fish to keep and if you get one, do show me the picture obviously!
